Poor, lost and found in Venezia.

I took these photos during the European Summer of August 2012. It was stinking hot in Venice, and I was still high on the freedom of my second week of travelling alone. Aged 19, armed with a camera and not nearly enough money for pricey Venice, I managed to talk my way onto the gondola ride of some American tourists.

Simply pleased to find another english speaker, they not only funded my gondola ride, but also invited me to lunch. It made a lonely, poor day very warm with kindness and new friendships. I think the photos speak for themselves.
